No.1 Embedded software development technology that does not use the real machine.
Content Develop the embedded software development technology that does not use the real machine, and model the virtual simulation tools.

No.2 Automatization of print driver customization for MFD and Printer products
Content Ultimate goal is a production automation for print driver.
Specifically, it is a technical examination and trial to automatically create operational definition scripts of print driver based on the existing database of print driver specifications.
Required Skills ・Software design technique and implementation skill.
・Windows Software development experience
・Knowledge about Software quality
・Capability of communication in Japanese or English
No.3 Development of software oriented real time image path
Content Measuring performance of framework software for image-stream processing on many-core processor, analyzing performance bottle necks, and improve software design or implementation for performance.
Required Skills ・Knowledge on Computer hardware and software
・Experience of programming with C
Strong interests on hardware-software cooperation area like OS kernel and device driver are required.
No.4 Software development of a remote surveillance system for Fuji Xerox's products.
Content Design and implementation of remote communication software running on both embedded Linux and Windows based products (to be launched in 2009).

No.5 Development of an automation test tool to verify common function spec for printers.
Content Develop an automation test tool that vilifies the behavior of printers through SNMP protocol according to the function spec.
Starting with developing a test tool that handle a simple test and using rapid prototyping methodology like XP, we are going to add an experimental functions incrementally with continuous integration.
Preferable function specs are to populate test harness from requirement specs automatically or analyze test results and transform them.

No.6 Research on distributed parallel processing based on the elastic computer cloud environment
Content Utilizing elastic computer cloud environment in Web, we will research on distributed parallel processing. Especially, based on the well known algorithm MapReduce etc., we will design and implement a prototype system using functional language (such as Erlang).
Required Skills ・Basic knowledge for distributed computing
Familiar with web application (server side programming)
Familiar with Linux OS configuration and maintenance
Familiar with Java, C++, and Postgress SQL.
Image processing knowledge is a plus.
No.7 Research on Asynchronous Collaboration
Content Our challenge is to leverage communication between distant locations having the time difference. Based on Rich-media handling technologies, we aim to structuralize and visualize asynchronous interactions between distant place
Required Skills Basic knowledge for rich-media handling (video, audio, and images).
・Programming experience of Java and C#, and basic literacy on SQL.
・TOEIC Score over 750 (Preferable).
Basic knowledge of Adobe Flex and AIR (Preferable).
No.8 Development of handwritten stroke processing
Content Development of new algorithm for handwritten stroke processing, especially for the stroke generated by digital pen writing onto a paper document. Aim of this theme are:
- Improving reproducibility of handwriting.
- Decreasing data size of the stroke information.
- Verifying feasibility of the algorithm.
Required Skills ・General digital image processing knowledge
・General mathematical knowledge
・Software programming skill(C/C++)
・Microsoft Visual Studio 6.0 or .NET2003 or 2005
No.9 Support for multi national development of Document Management System optional software.
Content Support translation, coding, and test processes for offshore software venders in multi national software development. The language may include Chinese, Korean, and English.
Required Skills ・Software design and development capability. Especially in Java and C++ experience are desirable.
・General knowledge for software development process.
・English communication capability. All working communication can be made in English.
・Japanese communication capability for basic conversation would be welcome.
No.10 LightCollabo
Content FX original distant collaboration support system - LightCollabo is now moving its research focus to provide integrated solution and key technologies for accelerating the problem-solving processes in manufacturing industry.
Recently, the LightCollabo team is going to build a novel distant collaborative environment between Ebina and the new R&D center being constructed in the MM21 area of Yokohama.
Required Skills Majored in 1. Image Processing, 2.Computer Vision or 3. User Interface. Programming skill with more than three year experience in C++ is necessary.
No.11 R&D in Medical Document Management System
Content 1) Development of important information extraction from electronic medical documents
: To extract important contents such as patient name, class of the clinical laboratory test, through using general techniques such as text extraction and/or image processing: aiming at 100% precision under some specific conditions.
(2) Develepment of medical document navigation system
: To realize functions which enable medical doctors to search related medical document easily while investigating a certain clinical report
Required Skills (1)・Detailed knowledge of the electronic document format (PDF etc.) for processing them
・Programming experience in C++ or JAVA; Basic knowledge in image processing (knowledge in character recognition would be preferable).
(2)・Knowledge and experience in Computer Human Interaction arena
    ・Programming experience in C++, JAVA or Flash
No.12 Study of image processing with high quality for high speed inkjet printer and(or) printing simulation
Content ・Study of image processing techniques to improve image quality for high speed inkjet printer.
・Development of a printing simulator on the basis of an ink penetration phenomenon of a paper.
Required Skills ・To be able to understand the sentence expression of our theme as above.
・To have a primitive knowledge or an interest as concerns one at least among 1-3 as follows:
1. Halftone. 2. Color management. 3. Spatial Filtering.
No.13 Sensing UI ( Sensing User Interface)
Content We are researching on a computer vision technology that realizes smooth interactions between the real and the virtual world by measuring 3D positions of objects with a single camera.
One of the targets is to capture human motion by a single camera.
